Reflected XSS via crafted Gateway payload
Published Nov 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Progress MOVEit Transfer before 2022.0.9, 2022.1.10, and 2023.0.7 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via Gateway. Progress has not published the affected request parameter or the server-side reflection operation that inserts the payload into a response. Exploitation requires a paired MOVEit Gateway deployment and a MOVEit user to interact with the payload; code runs only in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2022.0.0 (14.0.0) <2022.0.9 (14.0.9)
- Affected versionversion=2022.1.0 (14.1.0) <2022.1.10 (14.1.10)
- Affected versionversion=2023.0.0 (15.0.0) <2023.0.7 (15.0.7)
