Script execution via unchecked hyperlink macro targets
Published Dec 11, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Improper macro permission validation in LibreOffice 7.5 before 7.5.9 and 7.6 before 7.6.4 allows attackers to execute built-in macros. Hyperlink targets for macros and internal commands bypass the document macro-permission check when activated. Exploitation requires a user to activate a crafted hyperlink, after which code runs with that user's LibreOffice privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
