CVE-2023-6184Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via unrestricted .NET deserialization

Published Jan 18, 2024 · Updated Jun 2, 2025

Remote code execution in Cloud Software Group Citrix Session Recording before 2311 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. SessionRecordingBroker configures its SOAP and binary .NET Remoting formatters with typeFilterLevel set to Full, so crafted serialized objects can start an attacker-selected process. Default deployments require Session Recording server administrator privileges, while weakened IIS authentication can expose the same execution path without authentication.
