Administrator-level CSS injection via unsanitized newColor
Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSS injection in MainWP Dashboard 4.5.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter site-tag styling via newColor. The site-tag color update accepts the newColor value without sufficient CSS sanitization, permitting arbitrary CSS values in site tags. Administrator-level access is required, and the documented consequence is limited to unauthorized modification of Dashboard presentation.
