Authenticated Livestatus command execution via newline injection
Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Livestatus injection in Checkmk allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary monitoring-core commands through the WebUI. The ajax_search path forwards newline-bearing parameters into Livestatus requests, allowing line delimiters to introduce additional commands. A valid WebUI account is required; successful injection permits monitoring-data access or modification and can interrupt monitoring service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
