Authenticated script execution via unencoded browser details
Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Stored XSS in Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform before 10.24.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via browser details. The logging view presents attacker-controlled browser details without HTML encoding, so a stored payload executes when another user opens the specific page. Exploitation requires a valid account and victim interaction; HTTPOnly cookies prevent direct session-cookie theft, and no other modules are affected.
