Application state corruption via reversed register restoration

Out-of-bounds write in affected OpenSSL 3.x releases allows remote attackers to corrupt application state through POLY1305 use. The PowerPC POLY1305 assembly restores saved vector registers in a different order, overwriting nonvolatile register contents on PowerISA 2.07 processors. Reachability requires attacker influence over POLY1305 selection, such as CHACHA20-POLY1305 on a TLS server; outcomes range from incorrect calculations to an application crash.
