Authenticated JavaScript execution via unsanitized manifest inclusion
Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Jan 8, 2025
Reflected XSS in SuiteCRM before 7.12.14, 7.14.2, or 8.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript via package upload. ModuleScanner returns an empty issue list for a non-PHP manifest.php file, after which MSLoadManifest includes the file and reflects its unsanitized HTML into the response. Administrative Upgrade Wizard access and user interaction are required; the demonstrated payload steals the uploading administrator's PHP session token.
