CVE-2023-6105Public exploit

Database credential disclosure via readable encryption key

Published Nov 15, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Information disclosure in affected ManageEngine products allows local users to read AssetExplorer, ServiceDesk Plus, and Access Manager Plus database credentials. Improper installation-directory permissions expose CryptTag in conf/customer-config.xml and the encrypted password in conf/database_params.conf, allowing the password to be decrypted. A low-privileged account on the product host is required; resulting database access can disclose stored data, reset a product administrator password, or execute commands as the database service account.
