Private post disclosure via unchecked AJAX post ID
Published Dec 18, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Missing authorization in A WP Life Ultimate Responsive Image Slider before 3.5.12 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary posts. The uris_get_thumbnail AJAX action accepts an attacker-chosen imageid and returns the referenced post content without confirming that the post is a slide or that the requester can view it. Subscriber access is sufficient to disclose private, draft, or password-protected post content, with no reported ability to modify posts.
