Improper REST API validation in Volkswagen ID.3 ICAS 3 firmware before 3.2 allows remote authenticated users to crash the ECU. The IVI REST service accepts spoofed volume-setting calls and applies an attacker-supplied maximum-volume command without adequate input validation or access control. Access requires low privileges on an adjacent network; exploitation can crash infotainment or leave audio fixed at maximum.
