CVE-2023-6071Network attack vector

Root code execution via unsanitized data-source input

Published Nov 30, 2023 · Updated Oct 15, 2024

Command injection in Trellix Enterprise Security Manager before 11.6.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root. The new-data-source workflow passes administrator-supplied input into a command without correctly neutralizing special elements. A remote administrator must add a crafted data source and complete the required interaction, after which injected commands run with root privileges.
