CVE-2023-6070Network attack vector

Configuration alteration via unvalidated certificate upload

Published Nov 29, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024

Server-side request forgery in Trellix Enterprise Security Manager before 11.6.8 allows remote authenticated users to alter configuration. The certificate-validation API accepts uploaded content without parsing it for invalid data, allowing crafted input to drive unintended server-side requests. Low-privileged access to the HTTPS management interface is required, and the documented consequence is limited to configuration changes.
