Database disclosure via unescaped login cookie username
Published Dec 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in WP Fastest Cache before 1.2.2 allows remote attackers to read the WordPress database through a forged login cookie. The WpFastestCacheCreateCache::is_user_admin function extracts an attacker-controlled username from a wordpress_logged_in cookie and concatenates it into an unprepared SQL query. Cache System must be enabled and Logged-in Users disabled; the blind channel exposes query results through attacker-observed response delays.
