Arbitrary file write in Tenable Nessus 10.5.6 and earlier and 10.6.0 through 10.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the service. The Nessus Rules variable-handling path accepts administrator-controlled file targets and overwrites arbitrary files on the host. Administrator privileges in the Nessus application are required, and the resulting file damage can interrupt service without disclosing data.
