Admin-level stored HTML injection through settings
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 13, 2025
Stored HTML injection in AshanJay Designs LLC EventON before 2.2 allows remote authenticated users to store markup in plugin settings. The settings handler saves and later renders certain values without adequate sanitization and output escaping; public records do not identify the exact fields or functions. Administrator-level access is required, and the flaw matters when WordPress denies the unfiltered_html capability, including restricted installations.
