CVE-2023-6044

Elevated code execution via service impersonation

Published Jan 19, 2024 · Updated May 30, 2025

Privilege escalation in Lenovo Vantage before 4.0.49.0 allows physically proximate attackers to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges. The flaw permits impersonation of Lenovo Vantage Service, but Lenovo has not published how service identity validation fails. Physical access and low privileges are required; successful exploitation grants elevated code execution on the device.
