CVE-2023-6042Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated administrator phishing via public AJAX mail action

Published Jan 8, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025

Improper authentication in JetMonsters Getwid before 2.0.3 allows remote attackers to send arbitrary email content to the site administrator. The public getwid_send_mail AJAX action accepts attacker-controlled subject and message fields, using a nonce exposed in page source, and submits them through the site's mail path. No account is required; exploitation delivers attacker-chosen messages from the trusted WordPress site but does not expose administrator data.
