Stored XSS via unescaped TripAdvisor search setting
Published Jan 1, 2024 · Updated Jun 18, 2025
Stored XSS in WP TripAdvisor Review Slider before 11.9 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through an administrator setting. The Get TripAdvisor Reviews search setting stores attacker-controlled text without adequate sanitization or output escaping, then renders it in the administration page and site frontend. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; viewing an affected page executes the injected script.
