Supply-chain compromise in H2O-3 allows attackers to deliver malicious code through an abandoned Amazon S3 bucket. The R client constructs an h2o.jar download URL under the h2o-release bucket and accepts a checksum fetched from the same location, while the disclosed bucket reference was no longer controlled by H2O.ai. Exploitation requires a user to install or initialize the R package so that attacker-controlled artifacts are retrieved, enabling code execution in that user's context.
