CVE-2023-6001Network attack vector

Information disclosure via unauthenticated metrics endpoint

Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Information disclosure in YugabyteDB Anywhere 2.0.0.0 through 2.18.3.0 allows remote attackers to read environment metrics. The Prometheus metrics endpoint returns detailed deployment telemetry without enforcing authentication before serving the response. Network access to the exposed endpoint is sufficient; the metrics reveal operational details without reported data modification or service interruption.
