Administrator-level stored XSS via unsanitized list names
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Stored XSS in BannerSky BSK Forms Blacklist before 3.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted list name. The plugin’s blacklist settings save a list name without sanitizing it and render that value without output escaping in the administrative interface. Administrator privileges are required, and execution occurs when a user views the stored entry even where unfiltered_html is disabled, such as on multisite installations.
