Unauthenticated SSRF via path parameter
Published Nov 27, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Server-side request forgery in WPB Show Core through 2.2 allows remote attackers to make web requests via the path parameter. The download-file.php endpoint accepts an attacker-supplied path URL and causes the web application to fetch and return that resource without authentication. Attackers can target arbitrary external or internal services, potentially querying or modifying internal information; the request must reach the WordPress site.
