CVE-2023-5973Network attack vector

Authenticated port-display tampering via reserved characters

Published Apr 5, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Origin validation error in Brocade Fabric OS before 9.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter Web Interface port displays. The Web Interface misrepresents a stored portName when reserved characters are present, causing crafted names to change how switch ports appear. A valid account able to set a port name is required, and the documented consequence is limited to Web Interface display integrity.
