Stored XSS via unsanitized Button Image HTML
Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Jan 9, 2026
Stored XSS in PDFCrowd Save as PDF before 3.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through the Button Image setting. The Basic Settings page stores custom Button Image HTML without sanitizing or escaping it, and the plugin renders the value on every page. Administrator privileges are required, but the attack works when unfiltered_html is disabled, including in WordPress multisite deployments.
