Privileged PHP execution via unrestricted ZIP upload
Published Nov 30, 2023 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
EspoCRM 7.2.5 contains an unrestricted upload flaw that lets remote authenticated privileged users execute PHP code through the extension deployment form. The upload handler accepts a specially crafted ZIP containing dangerous PHP content and deploys it without adequate type restrictions, allowing server-side code execution. Exploitation requires a privileged authenticated account and network access to the deployment form; successful execution can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
