Stored XSS via unescaped quiz title
Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated Jun 9, 2025
Stored XSS in Wp-Adv-Quiz 1.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a crafted quiz title. The Quiz Overview stores the title without adequate sanitization or output escaping, then renders it when the overview is opened. Administrator-level access is required, and the issue is reachable when unfiltered_html is disabled, including on multisite installations, where the script executes in the viewer's site origin.
