Stored XSS via unescaped quiz fields
Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
Stored XSS in Markus Begerow Wp-Adv-Quiz before 1.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via quiz content. Quiz question and message fields accept script markup without input sanitization or output escaping and render it on the frontend through the quiz shortcode. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; scripts run when a user views the injected quiz page.
