CVE-2023-5915Network attack vector

Maintenance interface interruption via crafted-packet resource exhaustion

Published Dec 1, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Yokogawa STARDOM FCN/FCJ R1.01 through R4.31 allows remote attackers to interrupt maintenance access. The FCN/FCJ controller exhausts an undisclosed resource while processing a crafted packet; Yokogawa has not identified the protocol, parser, or resource. Network reachability is sufficient and no authentication is required, but process control continues while configuration and log viewing remain unavailable during packet transmission.
