CVE-2023-5880Public exploit

Script execution via unescaped broadcast SSID

Published Jan 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Aladdin Connect RetroFit Kit through 14.1.1 allows attackers to run script via a broadcast SSID. The Garage Door Control Module Setup page inserts scanned Wi-Fi SSID names into its script-backed HTML without neutralizing markup or JavaScript. The owner must place the device in Wi-Fi configuration mode and view the setup page while the attacker broadcasts within 2.4 GHz range; execution can alter the displayed page or make setup unusable.
