Stored script execution via unescaped close-button settings
Published Dec 4, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Stored XSS in AYS Pro Plugins Popup Box before 3.8.6 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through popup settings. The plugin stores Close Button parameter values without sanitizing them and renders those values without output escaping when popups are revisited. Administrator access and a viewer opening the affected popup are required; the issue remains reachable when unfiltered_html is disabled, including multisite.
