CVE-2023-5862Public exploit

Local arbitrary-file access via exported text viewer

Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024

Missing authorization in Inure App Manager before Build95 allows local users to read arbitrary private files through an exported activity. TextViewerActivity tests whether an intent URI's normalized path merely contains the app's private-data path instead of resolving the canonical target, so traversal segments bypass the boundary. A local app can invoke the exported viewer without user interaction; the grounded consequence is unauthorized file disclosure, not remote access or service interruption.
