Domain spoofing via crafted download origin
Published Nov 1, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Incorrect security UI in Google Chrome before 119.0.6045.105 allows remote attackers to spoof a download's source domain. The Downloads interface renders a crafted long subdomain so that the displayed origin misrepresents the domain that supplied the file. Exploitation requires a user to initiate or inspect the attacker-controlled download; published Chrome material does not disclose the exact rendering or truncation error.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
