Account access persistence via unexpired session
Published Oct 29, 2023 · Updated Sep 6, 2024
Insufficient session expiration in LinkStack before 4.2.9 allows remote authenticated users to retain account access after a password change. UserController::editProfile updates the stored password without logging out the active session, so the previous session remains authorized. A valid privileged session must already exist; its holder can continue using the account after the credential owner changes the password.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
