Script execution via unencoded username cookie
Published Oct 28, 2023 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Cross-site scripting in FotosCMS2 2.4.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted username cookie. profile.php echoes the session username into the page title without encoding it, while cfg.php copies the attacker-controlled cookie into that session value. Exploitation requires cookie manipulation and victim interaction, enabling script execution in the victim's browser context.
