Script injection via mismatched Markdown code-block parsing
Published Oct 28, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Hu60t hu60wap6 allows remote attackers to inject script through an indented Markdown code block. The markdown method in src/class/ubbparser.php treats content beginning with four spaces or a tab as code even when Parsedown rejects it for lacking a preceding blank line, leaving embedded HTML unescaped. Execution requires a user to view the rendered content; the script then runs within the page's browser origin.
