Authenticated code execution via unchecked upload extension
Published Oct 27, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Flusity CMS allows remote authenticated users to upload and execute PHP files through the file manager. The core/tools/upload.php handleFileUpload path trusts an allowed client-supplied MIME type but does not reject executable filename extensions. Access to the backend file manager is required; an attacker can store a PHP payload in the web-accessible uploads area and run it on the server.
