Administrator-log disclosure via debug CLI privilege failure
Published Nov 28, 2023 · Updated Dec 2, 2024
Improper privilege management in Zyxel firewall and AP firmware allows local users to read administrator logs through the debug CLI. The debug CLI command fails to enforce the privilege boundary between authenticated local accounts and administrator-only log data. Exploitation requires an authenticated local account on an affected appliance and exposes log confidentiality without reported modification or service interruption.
