Debug-log deletion via missing CSRF nonce validation
Published Nov 30, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Bowo Debug Log Manager 2.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to clear the debug log via a forged request. The clear_log() AJAX handler performs the log-clearing action without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator with an authenticated WordPress session to open an attacker-controlled link, and the bounded consequence is deletion of diagnostic log contents.
