Cross-site scripting via unsanitized RDT language file
Published Dec 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in RTU500 CMU Firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted RDT language file. The webserver improperly sanitizes the file before using its contents in a web page, allowing embedded script content to remain executable. Execution is limited to the web interface's browser context; Hitachi Energy's assessment requires high privileges and no additional user interaction.
