CVE-2023-5765Network attack vector

Authenticated permission bypass via data source switching

Published Nov 1, 2023 · Updated Sep 6, 2024

Improper access control in Remote Desktop Manager 2023.2.33 and earlier on Windows allows remote authenticated users to bypass permissions. Devolutions identifies the password analyzer and data source switching as the locus and trigger but has not disclosed the faulty authorization operation. An authenticated low-privileged session is required, and the observed impact is limited to unauthorized information access without reported modification or service interruption.
