Unauthenticated server crash via oversized RPC allocation

Asymmetric resource consumption in Perforce Helix Core before 2023.2 allows remote attackers to crash the server via a crafted RPC header. RpcTransport::Receive trusts a header length of 0x1FFFFFFE and allocates about 537 MB per connection without bounding aggregate memory use. Repeated unauthenticated connections exhaust memory, trigger an unhandled allocation exception, and leave the server stopped until restart.
