Screenshot disclosure via unvalidated postMessage recipient
Published Oct 23, 2023 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Information disclosure in Vue.js Vue DevTools before 6.5.1 allows remote attackers to read framed resource screenshots via a malicious page. The extension sends base64-encoded screenshot data through postMessage to a page listener without validating the recipient origin. Exploitation requires a user with the extension enabled to visit the page and a sensitive resource that the page can load in an iframe.
