CVE-2023-5674Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Contributor-level SQL injection via unsanitized id parameter

Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

SQL injection in WPVibes WP Mail Log before 1.1.3 allows remote authenticated users with Contributor access to read WordPress database data. The wml_logs/send_mail REST endpoint places its user-controlled id parameter into an SQL statement without adequate sanitization, escaping, or query preparation; a published proof of concept injects a conditional SLEEP expression. A valid WordPress nonce and Contributor-level session are required, and successful injection permits appended SQL that extracts sensitive database information.
