Contributor-level file disclosure via unconstrained attachment paths
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Path traversal in WPVibes WP Mail Log before 1.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files via a REST request. The wml_logs/send_mail REST endpoint accepts an includeAttachment map whose attacker-controlled pathname is attached without confinement to an allowed directory. Contributor-level access and a valid log-entry ID suffice, and the requested file is delivered as an email attachment.
