Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Oct 30, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in ThemePoints Accordion 2.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through tcpaccordion attributes. The tcpaccordion shortcode accepts user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and renders them without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save a crafted page, and the stored script executes when a user opens that page.
