Stored script execution via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Social Feed 1.5.4.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through shortcode attributes. The socialfeed shortcode renders user-supplied attributes into HTML without sufficient sanitization or output escaping in public/templates/default/template.php. Author-level access is required, and the stored script runs in each visitor's browser under the affected site's origin.
