CVE-2023-5642Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated configuration read and write via TCP service

Published Oct 18, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024

Unauthorized configuration-file access in Advantech R-SeeNet before 2.4.23 allows remote attackers to read or alter stored secrets. The core TCP server on port 65031 processes unauthenticated plaintext operations on snmpmon.ini keys, including a request for database credentials. No credentials or interaction are required; exposed credentials enable SuperAdmin creation, although Tenable and the CNA conflict on 2.4.23 applicability.
