Administrator-session script execution via unsanitized icon option
Published Nov 27, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Webpushr Web Push Notifications before 4.35.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The unauthenticated admin-post handler accepts save_woo_settings and stores an unsanitized webpushr_woo_price_drop_icon value that is rendered in price-drop settings. Exploitation requires WooCommerce, an activated Webpushr account, and an administrator to open that settings page; successful script runs in that administrator's browser.
