Administrator-context script execution via unescaped rt parameter
Published Nov 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Seraphinite Accelerator before 2.2.29 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The plugin returns the rt query parameter in a page without sanitizing or escaping it when seraph_accel_at is set to M_TEST. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open a crafted link, allowing script execution in that WordPress origin.
